This one-hour technical webinar presents a BIM-based tunnel engineering workflow using ALLPLAN Civil, focusing on the New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM) and Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) construction.
The workflow demonstrated in the webinar is based on a pilot project prepared with the involvement of Yüksel Proje, with key technical contributions from Erdem Tiryaki and Raşit Çakır.
The session begins with NATM, combining method fundamentals and real construction footage to demonstrate how excavation stages, variable tunnel geometry, and primary support elements are represented through intelligent parametric modeling in ALLPLAN Civil. Typical design and execution challenges are addressed using structured, performance-oriented workflows within a single, consistent BIM model.
In the second part, the focus shifts to TBM tunneling. A fully parametrized TBM tunnel model illustrates how parameter-driven geometry supports rapid design changes, reliable coordination, and automated updates of model-based documentation.
Throughout the webinar, real project visuals are used to directly link construction practice with BIM-based design, coordination, and documentation workflows, highlighting how complex tunnel projects can be engineered more efficiently and with greater design reliability using ALLPLAN Civil.
